Winnie the Pooh’s scarf

6 players or more – 1 scarf – flat ground

The number of players is split in 2 equal teams. Two lines are drawn on the ground about ten metres from each other.
A scarf is placed at the centre at the same distance from the 2 teams. The players are placed face to face along the 2 lines. They are numbered so that the 2 number one occupy the corners diagonally opposed and so on.
The game leader, placed near the centre, calls a number. The two players carrying that number, one hand behind their back, do their best to grab the scarf and to bring it back to their side. If a player succeeds, his team scores the point.
From the moment a player has touched the scarf, he becomes vulnerable and, if he’s touched by his opponent before he has gone back to his side, the other side scores 1 point.
Generally, the two opposing players end up face to face on each side of the scarf and try to trick each other with dummy moves.
If after 3 minutes, none of them has managed to seize the scarf, the game leader calls another number as reinforcement. In that case, each player can only touch the player carrying the same number as him/herself.
The winning team is the one which totalizes the most points.
